Born and raised in India, I have rekindled my childhood passion for painting, into a thriving artistic journey. My story is one of rediscovery and growth.

I attended private art & craft classes at the age of 8 and continued to flourish in the visual arts throughout high school. In 2010, I received my BFA degree in Painting from Indiana University, USA. While there, I discovered a fascination for photography. Upon graduating, I interned with a documentary filmmaker, and worked in a production company as a camera assistant. This sparked my interest in moving images and lighting techniques which led me to pursue an MFA degree in Cinematography in 2016 from the American Film Institute, USA.

Through the lens of film, I have gained an awareness of composition, lighting, and narrative structure. Armed with a camera and an artistic vision, I ventured into the world of cinema. My body of work as a cinematographer includes two feature films and several corporate videos and documentaries.

I believe cinematography and art converge at the crossroads of visual storytelling.

Life took an unexpected turn with the arrival of Covid. As the world paused, I found myself reconnecting with my roots, brush in hand. What started as a personal escape soon blossomed into a larger endeavor and I received commissioned art projects during the lockdown. Film school not only broadened my expressive toolkit but also granted me a fresh angle through which to explore my own visual stories. I have experimented with painting on different surfaces; canvas, cement, clay, metal and wood. I also enjoy using a variety of media depending on the project; including oil, acrylic, charcoal and soft pastel.

I now live in London, where my creative spirit continues to blossom.
